The 14th Annual Links Fore Kids charity golf tournament is an exciting team-based event designed to raise awareness for abused children in North Texas by supporting Trinity Kids, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Teams participate in a four-player scramble event and raise funds for Trinity Kids by reaching out to family, friends, and co-workers for donations.
The event is being held at the Las Colinas Country Club on Monday, September 20th, 2021. Each player registration includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, practice balls, two catered meals, as well as FREE non-alcoholic drinks and snacks while on the course.
Did you know that Texas Child Protective Services investigated over 68,023 reported cases of child abuse and neglect in the DFW Metroplex in 2015 with over 18,571 confirmed cases of child abuse in Region 3. Now, more than ever, children in our area desperately need our help to overcome the scars of abuse, neglect and abandonment so that they can more fully live their lives without fear!
Trinity Kids sponsors two week-long Royal Family KIDS (RFK) camps each Summer so children ages 7-12 can attend for FREE. Trinity Kids works with local social service organizations and their appointed foster families to refer children for each camp. Our volunteers demonstrate Christian love and care, modeling non-violent, positive ways of life as an alternative to the negative and hurtful experiences of abused children.
ConnecTeen was created to work with teenage children ages 12-18 who had already been through one or more of our RFK summer camps. This allows our staff and volunteers to continue the process of building trusting relationships that were originally formed with the children at camp. Currently, we have several ConnecTeen events each year that include team building activities, food and conversation. We have visited museums, tackled ropes courses, played Putt-Putt and even enjoyed skating. Spending time with these children and listening to their stories is a huge step in building positive relationships.
